Fred Keeley
Fred Keeley (born May 9, 1950) is a politician in California, U.S. and serves as the current mayor of Santa Cruz, CA. Due to recent amendments to the cities' charter he is the first directly elected mayor with a four year term, as the mayoral role was traditionally a one year term selected by other council members. Keeley was a member of the California State Assembly, representing District 27 which included parts of Santa Cruz County and Monterey County from 1996 to 2002. He retired in January 2015 after 10 years as the Treasurer of Santa Cruz County. Early life and career Keeley was born in Sacramento, California. He is the second son of Harry and Elizabeth Keeley. The California State Senate is the upper house of the California State Legislature (the lower house being the California State Assembly). Joseph Graham "Gray" Davis Jr. (born December 26, 1942) is an American attorney and former politician who served as the 37th governor of California from 1999 until he was recalled and removed from office in 2003. He is the second state governor in U.S. history to have been recalled, after Lynn Frazier of North Dakota. A Democratic Party (United States), Democrat, he represented the California's 18th State Senate district, 18th Senate District, which includes parts of the San Fernando Valley.
