Fraser Heigh
Fraser Heigh (born 22 February 2001) is a field hockey player from Scotland, who plays as a forward. Personal life Fraser Heigh was raised in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is a former student of George Watson's College. Career National leagues In his native Scottish National League, Heigh represents Grange. Heigh moved to Australia in 2023, signing on with the Adelaide Fire for season three of the JDH Hockey One League. Under–21 Scotland Heigh made his debut for the Scotland U–21 side at the 2022 EuroHockey Junior Championships in Ghent. Great Britain Following his Scotland junior debut, Heigh went on to represent the Great Britain junior side in 2022 also. Grange Hockey Club
Grange Hockey Club is one of four sections of The Grange Club situated at Portgower Place in Edinburgh. The three other sports that can be enjoyed through the parent club are Cricket, Squash and Tennis. Grange Hockey Club, originally Edinburgh Northern Hockey Club, was formed in April 1905 and was one of the early hockey clubs in Scotland. The club first started playing at Raeburn Place in 1928 and changed its name to Grange Hockey Club in 1972. With 8 men's teams, 4 ladies teams, veterans and active youth section the Grange Hockey Club is one of the largest in Scotland. 2022 Men's EuroHockey Junior Championship
The 2022 Men's EuroHockey Junior Championship was the 20th edition of the Men's EuroHockey Junior Championship, the biennial international men's under-21 field hockey championship of Europe organised by the European Hockey Federation. The top five teams qualified for the 2023 Men's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup. It was held alongside the women's tournament in Ghent, Belgium from 24 to 30 July 2022. The tournament was originally scheduled to be held in Wavre but a venue change was required due to the initial venue not being ready in time due to flooding. 2023 Men's Hockey One
The 2023 Men's JDH Hockey One was the third season of Hockey Australia's national league, Hockey One. The tournament was held across 7 states and territories of Australia. Competition commenced on 6 October, and culminated with a finals weekend on 25 and 26 November in Canberra. Competition format Format The 2023 Hockey One season followed the same format as previous season. Teams will play a series of home and away matches during the pool stage, which will be followed by a #Classification round, classification round. During the pool stage, teams play each other once in either a home or a way fixture. Scottish Hockey National Leagues
Scottish Hockey currently runs three men's national outdoor leagues and two women's national outdoor leagues. The season runs from September to May, with a break in winter for the Indoor league. The winners of the Premiership (both men's and women's) are declared Scottish Champions. Men's Premiership The Men's Premiership (formerly Men's Nation League Division 1) is the top of the top tier of men's field hockey in Scotland. The winners are crowned as Scottish Hockey champions. At the end of the season, the top four teams enter a playoff to see who plays in the EHL. First plays fourth and second play third - the two winners' then play in a grand finale at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre.
