Fraser Ellard
Fraser Ellard (born November 6, 1997) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). Career Ellard attended King's Ridge Christian School in Alpharetta, Georgia and played college baseball at Truett McConnell University, Lander University and Liberty University. Ellard was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the eighth round, with the 245th overall selection, of the 2021 Major League Baseball draft. He spent his first professional season with the rookie–level Arizona Complex League White Sox and Single–A Kannapolis Intimidators, accumulating a 4.43 ERA with 27 strikeouts over 14 games. Ellard split the 2022 campaign between the High–A Winston-Salem Dash and Double–A Birmingham Barons, compiling a 4.13 ERA with 58 strikeouts and 4 saves across 47 appearances. The Winston-Salem Dash are a Minor League Baseball team in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. They are a High-A team in the South Atlantic League and have been a farm team of the Chicago White Sox since 1997. The Dash began playing their home games at the Truist Stadium in 2010 after having Ernie Shore Field (now known as Gene Hooks Field at Wake Forest Baseball Park) as their home from 1956 to 2009. The Lander Bearcats are the athletic teams that represent Lander University, located in Greenwood, South Carolina, in intercollegiate sports at the Division II level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), primarily competing in the Peach Belt Conference since the 1990–91 academic year. The Charlotte Knights are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. They are located in Charlotte, North Carolina, and play their home games at Truist Field, which opened in 2014 and is located in Uptown Charlotte.
