Franz Joseph II
Franz Joseph II (Franz Josef Maria Alois Alfred Karl Johannes Heinrich Michael Georg Ignaz Benediktus Gerhardus Majella; 16 August 1906 – 13 November 1989) was the reigning Prince of Liechtenstein from 25 July 1938 until his death in November 1989. Franz Joseph was the son of Prince Alois of Liechtenstein and Archduchess Elisabeth Amalie of Austria. He succeeded his childless grand-uncle, Prince Franz I, after his father renounced his right of succession in his favour in 1923. He was an extremely popular sovereign in Liechtenstein. He was the first ruling prince to live full-time in the principality. He also oversaw the economic development of Liechtenstein from a poor agricultural backwater into one of the richest countries (per capita) in the world. Duke Of Troppau
The Principality of Opava (; ) or Duchy of Troppau () was a historic territory split off from the Margraviate of Moravia before 1269 by King Ottokar II of Bohemia to provide for his natural son, Nicholas I, Duke of Troppau, Nicholas I. The Opava territory thus had not been part of the original Polish Duchy of Silesia in 1138, and was first ruled by an illegitimate offshoot of the Bohemian Přemyslid dynasty, not by the Silesian Piasts like many of the neighbouring Duchies of Silesia, Silesian duchies. Its capital was Opava (''Troppau'') in the modern-day Czech Republic. From 1337 onwards, the Přemyslid dukes also ruled the adjacent former Piast Duchy of Racibórz, whereupon Opava became united with the Upper Silesian lands. Prince Franz Josef of Liechtenstein (Franz Josef Wenceslaus Georg Maria; 19 November 1962 – 28 February 1991), popularly known as Prince Wenzel, was a member of Liechtenstein princely family. He was the youngest son of Franz Joseph II, Prince of Liechtenstein and his wife, Countess Georgina von Wilczek, and thus younger brother of Hans-Adam II, Prince of Liechtenstein. Biography He was born on 19 November 1962, as the youngest son of the former reigning Prince Franz Joseph II and the youngest brother of the current reigning Prince Hans-Adam II. His mother was Countess Georgina of Wilczek. He was known, familiarly, as "Wenzel". Vaduz Cathedral, or Cathedral of St. Florin ( German: ''St. Florinskirche in Vaduz'' or ''Kathedrale St. Florin''), is a neo-Gothic church in Vaduz, Liechtenstein, and the centre of the Archdiocese of Vaduz. Originally a parish church, was elevated to the status of cathedral in 1997, and has held that designation since.
