Franz Eher Nachfolger
Franz Eher Nachfolger GmbH (''Franz Eher and Successors, LLC'', usually referred to as the Eher-Verlag (''Eher Publishing'')) was the central publishing house of the Nazi Party and one of the largest book and periodical firms during the Nazi regime. It was acquired by the party on 17 December 1920 for 115,000 Papiermark. In addition to the major papers, the'' Völkischer Beobachter'' and the '' Illustrierter Beobachter'', the publishers also printed novels, maps, song books, and calendars. The weekly satirical magazine '' Die Brennessel'' and the listings magazine N.S.-Funk were also publications of the company. Adolf Hitler's ''Mein Kampf'' was also published by the firm from 1925 through many editions and millions of copies. Adam Alfred Rudolf Glauer also known as Rudolf Freiherr von Sebottendorff (or Sebottendorf; 9 November 1875 - 8 May 1945) was a German occultist, writer, intelligence agent and political activist. Nearly all copies of this book were destroyed at the end of the war under the Allied policy of ''denazification'', with the result that originals are very rare. Leo Leixner (1908–1942) was an Austrian journalist and war correspondent. He is known for his boo''From Lemberg to Bordeaux'' a first-hand account of war in Poland, the Low Countries, and France, 1939–40, during World War II. Early life and education Leo Leixner, a schoolteacher's son, was born in Thörl-Maglern, Austria, on March 26, 1908, and graduated in 1918 from the German National Real Gymnasium in Villach. He studied German Literature at the University of Graz and received his Doctor of Philosophy in 1932, with a dissertation entitled ''Mohammed in German Poetry''. Journalist and war correspondent After 1933, Leixner wrote for ''Der Angriff'' newspaper, and was assigned to the Vienna office. Berndt joined the Nazi Party at the age of 18 and became a brownshirt at 20. A freelance journalist, he was deputy editor of Goebbels’s party newspaper before joining the staff of the Nazi Propaganda Ministry in 1936. Berndt wrote an eyewitness account of the 1940 German invasion of the Low Countries and France filled with distortions and falsehoods, he is also considered the propagandistic creator of the Rommel myth attached to German field marshal Erwin Rommel. Alfred Ernst Christian Alexander Hugenberg (19 June 1865 – 12 March 1951) was an influential German businessman and politician. An important figure in nationalist politics in Germany during the first three decades of the twentieth century, Hugenberg became the country's leading media proprietor during the 1920s. As leader of the German National People's Party, he played a part in helping Adolf Hitler become chancellor of Germany and served in his Hitler Cabinet, first cabinet in 1933, hoping to control Hitler and use him as his tool.
