Frank Osmond
Frank Francis Osmond (31 January 1920 – January 1973) was a Welsh rugby union, and professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. He played club level rugby union (RU) for Newport RFC, as a hooker, i.e. number 2, and representative level rugby league (RL) for Great Britain (non-Test matches), and Wales, and at club level for Swinton, as a , i.e. number 9, during the era of contested scrums. Newport ( cy, Casnewydd; ) is a city and county borough in Wales, situated on the River Usk close to its confluence with the Severn Estuary, northeast of Cardiff.
