Frank Hoffmann (actor)
Frank Hoffmann (16 July 1938 – 4 June 2022) was a German-Austrian actor. Life and work Frank Hoffmann was born in Radebeul, near Dresden, in Germany. He trained at the Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in Munich. His first acting roles were in Heidelberg, Graz, Dortmund, Cologne and Basel, where he worked at the Theater Basel. In 1967, he was a member of the ensemble at the Burgtheater in Vienna. This was where he met his future wife, , who had been an actor there since 1965. He then featured in a number of films and tv programmes, including alongside Jean-Paul Belmondo in The Ace of Aces, alongside Senta Berger in ''Die Nacht der Nächte'', Susi Nicoletti in the stage drama Heldenplatz and in Bella Ciao, directed by Xaver Schwarzenberger. Between 1975 and 1994, Hoffmann directed and presented the tv show Trailer, shown on ORF. With his distinctive voice, Frank Hoffmann also featured in a number of radio adverts and on radio shows. Radebeul
Radebeul ( hsb, Radobyle) is a town (''große Kreisstadt'') in the Elbe valley in the district of Meißen in Saxony, Germany, a suburb of Dresden. It is well known for its viticulture, a museum dedicated to writer Karl May, and a narrow gauge railway connecting Radebeul with the castle of Moritzburg and the town of Radeburg. The Meißen area, where Radebeul is located, is one of the northeasternmost areas where wine is grown in the 21st century. Senta Verhoeven (née Berger; ''Austrian German:'' , ; born 13 May 1941) is an Austrian-German actress. She received many award nominations for her acting in theatre, film and television; her awards include three Bambi Awards, two Romys, an Adolf Grimme Award, both a Deutscher and a Bayerischer Fernsehpreis, and a Goldene Kamera. Early life Berger was born in Vienna to musician Josef Berger and teacher Therese Jany. She first appeared on stage at the age of four, when her father accompanied her singing on the piano.
