Franklin Hassell (born October 9, 1988) is an American professional basketball player for Mineros de Zacatecas (basketball), Mineros de Zacatecas of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, Mexican League. Standing at , he plays as a power forward (basketball), power forward. In 2012–13, he was the Israeli Basketball Premier League Statistical Leaders, top rebounder in the Israel Basketball Premier League. Career Hassell competed in college for Old Dominion Monarchs basketball, Old Dominion. As a senior he averaged 15 points and 9.4 rebounds per game for a team that went 27–7. He was named to the All-Colonial Athletic Association, CAA First Team. After graduation he played for different teams in Israel, Italy and Turkey. The Basketball Tournament (TBT) is an open-invitation, single-elimination tournament, single-elimination tournament played each summer in the United States, with the stakes being a cash prize (the most recent tournament in The Basketball Tournament 2024, 2024 had a $1 million purse going to the winners). The number of teams playing in the tournament has varied since its establishment, but in recent years has settled into a 64-team field.
