Frank Doyle (writer)
Frank Doyle (November 17, 1917, in Brooklyn, New York - April 3, 1996, in New Port Richey, Florida) was the head writer for Archie Comics for over thirty years. He wrote over 10,000 stories featuring the Archie characters. Artist Dan DeCarlo referred to Doyle as "the best". Doyle, one of several ''Archie'' contributors who studied art at the Pratt Institute, was originally a penciller for Fiction House comics, working on such titles as ''Planet Stories''.Duin, Steve and Richardson, Mike. ''Life with Archie'' is a comic book published by Archie comics from 1958 to 1991. It featured Archie Andrews in adventure stories that were more dramatic than the standard Archie tales. In 2010, it was revived as a magazine-sized comic devoted to stories that grew out of '' Archie Marries Veronica/Archie Marries Betty''. Archie's character was killed in the second to last issue, ''Life with Archie'' #36. Volume 1 (1958 - 1991) This title featured longer stories as compared to standard Archie comics (one to two stories per issue, instead of the usual four). Kurt Busiek
Kurt Busiek ( ) (born September 16, 1960) is an American comic book writer. His work includes the '' Marvels'' limited series, his own series titled ''Astro City'', a four-year run on ''The Avengers, Thunderbolts'' and '' Superman.'' Early life Busiek was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He grew up in various towns in the Boston area, including Lexington, where he befriended future comic book creator Scott McCloud. Busiek did not read comics as a youngster, as his parents disapproved of them. He began to read them regularly around the age of 14, when he picked up a copy of ''Daredevil'' #120 (April 1975). This was the first part of a continuity-heavy four-part story arc; Busiek was drawn to the copious history and cross-connections with other series. Victor Gorelick (April 5, 1941 – February 8, 2020) was an American comic book editor and executive. Working in a variety of roles for Archie Comics for over 60 years, he rose to the position of editor-in-chief. Career After studying at the School of Industrial Art (now known as the High School of Art and Design), Gorelick joined Archie Comics at age 16, when it was being run by its original founders, John Goldwater and Louis Silberkleit. Cheryl Marjorie Blossom is a fictional character of the Archie Comics universe. She is a wealthy teenage girl, the privileged daughter of a businessman. The Grand Comics Database (GCD) is an Internet-based project to build a database of comic book information through user contributions. The GCD project catalogues information on creator credits, story details, reprints, and other information useful to the comic book reader, comic collector, fan, and scholar. New Port Richey, Florida
New Port Richey is a city in Pasco County, Florida, United States. It is a suburban city included in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was counted at 16,728 in the 2020 census. History By 1914 the area around Orange Lake was being called "New Port Richey" and the older part of Port Richey was called "Old Port Richey." In 1915 a separate post office was established for the residents of the southern part of Port Richey. The post office was named New Port Richey, and the name became official. The first postmaster was Gerben DeVries. The growth of the city came about after George Sims purchased the Port Richey Land Company. He built a home in New Port Richey in 1916.
