Frank Dancevic
Frank Russell Dancevic ( ; , ; born September 26, 1984) is a retired Canadian professional tennis player. He first became the country's top singles tennis, singles player, according to ATP rankings, on February 10, 2003, as an 18-year-old, and remained so from January 30, 2006, until June 20, 2010. Dancevic has reached two ATP singles finals (Atlanta Open (tennis), Indianapolis and Eastbourne International, Eastbourne), the quarterfinals of the 2007 Rogers Masters – Singles, 2007 Montreal Masters and achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 65 in September 2007. In August 2011, Dancevic became the first men's singles player, in one calendar year, to enter the main draw of all four Grand Slam (tennis), Grand Slam tournaments by playing the qualifying competition for each event. The Canada men's national tennis team represents Canada in Davis Cup tennis competition since 1913. They are overseen by Tennis Canada, the governing body of tennis in Canada. The team won their first Davis Cup in 2022, beating Australia 2–0 in the final. In its first appearance in 1913 it had reached the World Group final, losing to the United States 0–3. The Eastbourne Open (also known as Eastbourne International, formerly Rothesay) is a tennis tournament on the WTA Tour and the ATP Tour held at the Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club, Eastbourne, United Kingdom. Held since 1974, it is classified as an ATP Tour 250 series on the ATP Tour and a WTA 250 series on the WTA Tour (downgraded from WTA 500 in 2025).
