Francisco Majewski
Francisco Majewski (1 May 1939 – 22 April 2012) was a professional footballer who played in the Uruguayan Primera División and Mexican Primera División. Career Born in Montevideo, Majewski played as a central defender and was an imposing figure at 1.84 meters and 187 kilos. He began playing for the youth side of Peñarol. At age 15, he joined Peñarol's senior side, where he would deputy for William Martínez. He won three Uruguayan league titles and the 1960 Copa Libertadores and played in the 1960 Intercontinental Cup before leaving the club. In 1961, Majewski moved to Mexico to join Atlante F.C. under manager Jorge Marik. After two seasons, he transferred to Necaxa where he would partner Carlos Albert in central defense for seven years. He won the 1965–66 Copa México with Necaxa, and was known as "Caballero del área" ("Gentleman of the area") for his disciplinary record as he only received two red cards during his entire career. Carlos Albert Andrés (born 24 February 1978) is a Spanish sculptor. He was one of the ''Group 99'', whose manifesto intends to exalt the traditional values art. Albert works mainly with wrought iron and weathering steel. He considers Sculpture to share many of the features of drawing, and emphasizes in his work, skill and handling of these materials, especially iron, making drawings of his pieces "three-dimensional" creating empty spaces in the masses from tracks that seem to come alive. In his artistic creations is more important what he evokes and suggests to the viewer that what is represented. His career is part of abstract art. Copa MX
The Copa MX (formerly called Copa Tower Monterrey, Copa Eliminatoria, Copa México and Copa Corona MX (for sponsorship reasons)) was a Mexican football cup competition that was established in 1907. After a lengthy hiatus that began in 1997, it was restored in 2012. On early editions of the cup, it consisted of both professional and amateur stages. It was the first official tournament that included teams from different parts of Mexico and was considered a prestigious tournament, especially during its earlier years of existence. The original purpose of the competition was to determine a national champion, thus distinguishing it from the local league championship. Its format was different from the local leagues as well, as it employed direct elimination and culminated in a final that received much more fanfare than the local leagues.
