Francisco Contreras (boxer)
Francisco Contreras (born 21 March 1984) is a Dominican professional boxer. He is trained by former world champion Robert Garcia. Early life Contreras was raised in a poor family, he first entered a boxing gym at the age of five. His father Bonifacio was also a boxer and even had two brothers who were also boxers. Amateur career Francisco was a member of the Dominican national team and ended his amateur career with a record of 350–14. La Romana, Dominican Republic
La Romana is a municipality and capital of the southeastern province of La Romana, opposite Catalina Island. Orthodox Stance
In combat sports such as boxing, an orthodox stance is one in which the boxer places their left foot farther in front of the right foot, thus having their weaker side closer to the opponent. Because it favors the stronger, dominant side (often the right side; see laterality), the orthodox stance is the most common stance in boxing and MMA. It is mostly used by right-handed boxers. Robert Garcia (American Boxer)
Roberto Garcia Cortez (born January 29, 1975) is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1992 to 2001, and held the IBF junior lightweight title from 1998 to 1999. He has since worked as a boxing trainer, and was voted Trainer of the Year by ''The Ring'' magazine in 2011, and by the Boxing Writers Association of America in 2012. He is the older brother of professional boxer Mikey Garcia, who is a world champion in four weight classes. The World Boxing Council (WBC) is an international professional boxing organization.
