Francis Paré
Francis Paré (born June 30, 1987) is a Canadian-Belarusian professional ice hockey forward and coach. He has played with the National de Québec in the semi-professional Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey (LNAH) since 2024. Paré has served as development coach to the of the (QM18AAA) since 2023, and as an assistant coach to the Italian women's national ice hockey team since 2024. Playing career Undrafted, Paré previously played with the Grand Rapids Griffins in the American Hockey League (AHL). On July 27, 2011, Pare signed a two-year, two-way contract extension with the Griffins NHL affiliate, the Detroit Red Wings. On July 8, 2013, after helping the Griffins capture the Calder Cup, Paré was signed to a two-year contract abroad in Finland with TPS of the SM-liiga. LeMoyne, Quebec
Le Moyne (; also known as Ville Le Moyne, formerly known as LeMoyne) is a neighbourhood in Longueuil, Quebec, part of the borough of Le Vieux-Longueuil, and a former city. Le Moyne makes up 2% of the total area of Le Vieux-Longueuil borough and is the only neighbourhood of the borough that was not part of the pre-2002 city of Longueuil. The National League (NL) is a professional ice hockey league in Switzerland and the highest level of the Swiss league system. Prior to the 2017–18 season, the league was known as National League A. During the 2018–19 season, the league had an average of 6,949 spectators per game which is the highest among European leagues (ahead of the KHL with 6,397 and the DEL with 6,215). The 2015–16 SM-liiga season was the 41st season of the SM-liiga, the top level of ice hockey in Finland, since the league's formation in 1975. Gagarin Cup
The Gagarin Cup () is the trophy presented to the winner of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) playoffs, and is named after Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, the first human in space. The Cup was supposedly named after Gagarin because the last possible game of the inaugural KHL season took place on April 12, the anniversary date of Gagarin's flight. After the end of the KHL's regular season, sixteen teams participate in the playoffs. The round of 16 and quarter-finals were a best-of-five series during the first season, and the semi-finals and finals were a best-of-seven series during the first season. The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL; ) is an international professional ice hockey league founded in 2008. It comprises member clubs based in Russia (20), Belarus (1), Kazakhstan (1), and China (1) for a total of 23 clubs. The Liiga, colloquially called the Finnish Elite League in English or FM-ligan in Swedish, is the top professional ice hockey league in Finland. The league comprises 16 teams from all around Finland with relegation and promotion between the Mestis. The winner of the Liiga playoffs is awarded the Kanada-malja at the end of each season. Calder Cup
The Calder Cup is the trophy awarded annually to the playoff champions of the American Hockey League (AHL). It was first presented in 1937 to the Syracuse Stars. The cup is made of sterling silver mounted on a base of Brazilian mahogany. In its current shape, the trophy has a two-tiered square base with commemorative plaques for each of the AHL's 20 most recent champions: 12 on the bottom tier and 8 on the top tier. The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league in North America that serves as the primary developmental league of the National Hockey League (NHL).
