Francis Lopez (basketball)
Francis Leo S. "Lebron" Lopez (born May 17, 2003) is a Filipino-Angolan college basketball player for the UP Fighting Maroons of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). After breaking out in the Philippine high school basketball scene, he was set to play in the Overtime Elite (OTE) league, but due to visa issues, never got to play there. Instead, he committed to play for UP. High school career Lopez first played varsity basketball for Augustinian Abbey School (AAS) at 13 years old. He also continued growing in height, from 5'3" when he 10 years old, to 6'3" at 13 years of age. He then gained significant attention after starring for Las Piñas in the 2018 edition of NCR Palaro, an annual sporting competition for youth from all over Metro Manila, where they just missed the medal rounds. The Adamson Soaring Falcons and Lady Falcons are the collegiate men's and women's varsity teams of Adamson University that play in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. The university teams' high school programs carry the nicknames ''Baby Falcons'' and ''Lady Baby Falcons'' respectively. The Indonesia men's national basketball team represents the Republic of Indonesia in international basketball competitions. The governing body of the team is the ''Persatuan Bola Basket Seluruh Indonesia'' (Indonesian Basketball Association – ''PERBASI''). 2019 FIBA Under-16 Asian Championship
The 2019 FIBA Under-16 Asian Championship was originally to be the qualifying tournament for FIBA Asia at the 2020 FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup. The tournament would have been held in Beirut, Lebanon from 5 to 12 April 2020. The top four teams would have represented FIBA Asia at the Under-17 Basketball World Cup in Bulgaria. However it was cancelled by FIBA due to the COVID-19 pandemic in mainland China, coronavirus pandemic in China. Instead it was determined by FIBA rankings. Qualification Aside from the host nation and the defending champions, each of FIBA Asia's six subzones also gets one berth each, except for the Persian Gulf, East Asia and West Asian subzones, which were allocated two berths each. UAAP Season 85 Basketball Tournaments
The UAAP Season 85 basketball tournaments are the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) basketball tournaments for the 2022–23 school year. The collegiate men's and women's tournaments began on October 1, 2022. Richard "Dickie" Bachmann, former Alaska Aces governor in the Philippine Basketball Association, was appointed as the UAAP basketball commissioner for this season. Bachmann's term as basketball commissioner will extend to the league's 86th season. Tournament format The UAAP will continue to use the UAAP Final Four format. Fr.
