Francesco Fortunato (born 13 December 1994) is an Italian male racewalker, which participated at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics. He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in 20 km walk. 2015 European Race Walking Cup
The 2015 European Race Walking Cup took place on May 17, 2015. The races were held on a 1 km lap on Gran Vía Escultor Salzillo in Murcia, Spain. Detailed reports of the event were given for the IAAF and for the EAA. Complete results were published. Later, Russian athletes Mikhail Ryzhov (racewalker), Mikhail Ryzhov (winner of 50 km) and Ivan Noskov (runner-up of 50 km event) were disqualified for doping, and the medals were redistubuted. 2016 Mediterranean Athletics U23 Championships
The 2016 Mediterranean Athletics U23 Championships was an athletics competition which was held in Tunis (Stadium in Radès), Tunisia, from 4 to 5 June 2016. 10 Km Walk
The 10 kilometres race walk, or 10-kilometer racewalk, is a racewalking event. The event is competed as a road race. Athletes must always keep in contact with the ground and the supporting leg must remain straight until the raised leg passes it. 10 kilometers is 6.21 miles. History It was introduced at the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm for men, and the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona for women. It is no longer an Olympic event, having been changed to 20 km after 1952 for men and in 1999 for women, though it is still run in some international competitions. World records On May 28, 2000, Roman Rasskazov of Russia set a new 10-km race walk world record in Saransk in a time of 37:11. The Italian Athletics Championships ( it, Campionati italiani assoluti di atletica leggera) are the national championships in athletics, organised every year by the Federazione Italiana di Atletica Leggera. The first edition, four races only, was held in 1906 at Arena Civica in Milan, just after the foundation of the Federazione Podistica Italiana and with the organization of '' La Gazzetta dello Sport''. Since then, 110 editions were held with the only exceptions of the years 1915-1918 and 1944. During 1945, only athletes of Northern Italy could participate but FIDAL considered this edition as an official one. To the running races, in 1913 the field events were added. 2018 European Athletics Championships
The 2018 European Athletics Championships were held in Berlin, Germany, from 6 to 12 August 2018. The championships were part of the first European Championships with other events happening in the United Kingdom. For the second Championships in a row the Russian team did not participate; this was due to the suspension of the All-Russia Athletic Federation by the International Association of Athletics Federations. However, several athletes were cleared by the IAAF to compete as Authorised Neutral Athletes under the flag of the European Athletic Association.
