Francesca De Sapio
Francesca De Sapio (16 August 1945) is an Italian actress and acting coach, best-known as the young Carmela Corleone in ''The Godfather Part II'' (1974). The daughter of an architect, she was born in Rome, Italy. After her father's work took him to the United States, she started studying acting in Texas. A life-member of the Actors Studio, having studied there under Lee Strasberg, De Sapio began teaching there as well In the early 1980s. In 1985, she co-founded with Giuseppe Perruccio the Duse Studio in New York City, an international centre for training in acting, film production and theater. Carmela Corleone
Carmela Corleone (1897–1959) is a fictional character in Mario Puzo's 1969 novel ''The Godfather.'' Carmela is portrayed by Italian-American Morgana King in Francis Ford Coppola's 1972 film adaptation of the novel, and in ''The Godfather Part II'' (1974). King also played Carmela Corleone in the 1977 television mini-series, '' The Godfather Saga''. Lee Strasberg (born Israel Strassberg; November 17, 1901 – February 17, 1982) was an American acting coach and actor. He co-founded, with theatre directors Harold Clurman and Cheryl Crawford, the Group Theatre in 1931, which was hailed as "America's first true theatrical collective".
