France National Rugby League Team
The France national rugby league team represents France in international rugby league matches. They are referred to as ''les Chanticleers'' or less commonly as ''les Tricolores''. The team is run under the auspices of the French Rugby League Federation, Fédération Française de Rugby à XIII. The French rugby league team first played in 1934 on a tour of England. They have taken part in all Rugby League World Cup, World Cups, 16 in total, with the first being held in 1954 in France. They have never won the title but finished runners-up in both 1954 Rugby League World Cup, 1954 and 1968 Rugby League World Cup, 1968. French Rugby League Federation
The French Rugby League Federation ( (FFR)) is the governing body for the sport of rugby league in France. The Federation was formed during 1934 and since then has organised and governed the French rugby league championship, the Lord Derby Cup and all of the clubs that are contained within those organisations. The FFR also controls the France national rugby league team organizing fixtures that they compete in, they also have a major voting position in the Rugby League International Federation where they help organise many aspects of rugby league worldwide. Great Britain National Rugby League Team
The Great Britain national rugby league team represents Great Britain in rugby league. Administered by the Rugby Football League (RFL), the team is nicknamed The Lions. For most of the 20th century, the Great Britain team toured overseas, played against foreign touring teams and competed in the Rugby League World Cup, which they won three times: in 1954, 1960 and 1972. Since 1995, the RFL has sent separate home nations teams to the World Cup. Great Britain continued to compete as a Test playing nation both home and away. The Italy national rugby league team represents Italy in rugby league football. With origins dating back to the 1950s and 1960s, the team has competed regularly in international competitions since 2008, when their current governing body, the Federazione Italiana Rugby League, was formed. Wales National Rugby League Team
The Wales national rugby league team represents Wales in representative rugby league football matches. Currently the team is ranked 17th in the IRL World Rankings. The team was run under the auspices of the Rugby Football League, but an independent body, Wales Rugby League, now runs the team from Cardiff. Six Welsh players have been entered into the Rugby Football League Hall of Fame. As with other Welsh national sporting teams, Wales strip has been primarily red. However, in the World Cup campaign in 2000 they wore a shirt featuring the Welsh flag, adding a touch of green and white. The Lebanon national rugby league team (, ) represents Lebanon in rugby league football. Nicknamed "the Cedars" after the Cedrus libani, Lebanese cedar tree, the team was formed by Lebanese Australians in 1997 and have been administered by the Lebanese Rugby League Federation since 2002. The 2021 Men's Rugby League World Cup was the 16th Rugby League World Cup, and one of three major tournaments of the 2021 Rugby League World Cup. The 2013 Rugby League World Cup was the fourteenth World Cup for men’s national rugby league teams. It took place between the 26 October and 30 November and was hosted by England and Wales (although some games were played in France and Ireland). The 2000 Rugby League World Cup was the twelfth Rugby League World Cup, World Cup for men’s national rugby league teams, held between 28 October and 25 November and hosted between the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Ireland and France. Super League (also known as the Betfred Super League for sponsorship reasons, and legally Super League Europe Ltd.) is a professional rugby league competition, and the highest level of the British rugby league system, which consists of twelve teams, eleven from Northern England, the sport's heartland, and one from southern France.
