Frailes is a municipality in the Spain, Spanish province of Province of Jaén (Spain), Jaén, autonomous community of Andalucia, with a total area of 41.37 km2, a population of 1551 inhabitants in 2024 (National Statistics Institute (Spain), INE figures) and a population density of 43.41 inhab/ km2. Frailes is a barrio in the municipality of Yauco, Puerto Rico. Its population in 2010 was 321. History Frailes was in Spain's gazetteers until Puerto Rico was ceded by Spain in the aftermath of the Spanish–American War under the terms of the Treaty of Paris of 1898 and became an unincorporated territory of the United States. Puerto López, with a population of 12,598, is a fishing village set in an arched bay on the Pacific coast in the Ecuadorian Manabí Province. Puerto Lopéz is the Machalilla National Park headquarters. The Doñana Disaster, also known as the Aznalcollar Disaster or Guadiamar Disaster (, ), was an industrial accident in Andalusia, southern Spain.
