Fozzy (album)
''Fozzy'' is the debut album of heavy metal band, Fozzy. The album was released on October 24, 2000. The album was released by Palm Pictures and Megaforce Records. Album concept The album featured mostly cover songs by bands such as Dio, Twisted Sister, Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne and Mötley Crüe, as Fozzy had a satirical back-story that they had spent the last 20 years in Japan being megastars and once they returned to America, they realized that many famous artists had ripped off their songs. However, the album featured two original songs by Fozzy, "End of Days" and "Feel the Burn", in which it was implied that the band had just recently written these songs and other bands hadn't had the chance to "rip" these songs off them. Ronnie James Dio
Ronald James Padavona (July 10, 1942 – May 16, 2010), known professionally as Ronnie James Dio, was an American heavy metal singer. He fronted numerous bands throughout his career, including Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Dio and Heaven & Hell. Dio's music career began in 1957 as part of the Vegas Kings (later Ronnie and the Rumblers). In 1967, he formed the rock band Elf, in which he sang and played bass. In 1975, Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore founded the band Rainbow and hired Dio to be the lead singer; during his tenure, the band released three studio albums. Dio quickly emerged as one of heavy rock's pre-eminent vocalists. Randy Rhoads
Randall William Rhoads (December 6, 1956 – March 19, 1982) was an American guitarist. He was the co-founder and original guitarist of the heavy metal band Quiet Riot, and the guitarist and co-songwriter for Ozzy Osbourne's first two solo albums '' Blizzard of Ozz'' (1980) and '' Diary of a Madman'' (1981). Rhoads was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2021. Originally educated in classical guitar, Rhoads combined these early influences with heavy metal, helping form a sub-genre later known as neoclassical metal. With Quiet Riot, he adopted a black-and-white polka-dot theme which became an emblem for the group. He reached his peak as the guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne's solo career, performing on tracks including " Crazy Train" and " Mr. Crowley" on the '' Blizzard of Ozz'' album. Richard Park Ward (born January 16, 1969), also known by his stage name the Duke, is an American guitarist best known as a founding member of Stuck Mojo and as lead guitarist of heavy metal band Fozzy. Early life Ward grew up listening to many indie-style soundtracks as that was all that was available to him. After his parents' divorce, Ward's mother's work schedule was hectic, resulting in her hiring a college student to look after him and his sister. According to Ward, the student would often bring over heavy metal and hard rock albums from bands such as AC/DC, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden, to name a few. Stephen Percy Harris (born 12 March 1956) is an English musician and songwriter, best known as the bassist, keyboardist, backing vocalist, primary songwriter, founder, and leader of heavy metal band Iron Maiden. He is the band's only constant member since their inception in 1975; along with guitarist Dave Murray, Harris appears on every album. Adrian Frederick Smith (born 27 February 1957) is an English guitarist and singer best known as a member of Heavy metal music, heavy metal band Iron Maiden, for whom he also writes songs and performs backing vocals both live and in the studio. Smith grew up in London and became interested in rock music at 15. He soon formed a friendship with future Iron Maiden guitarist Dave Murray (musician), Dave Murray, who inspired him to take up the guitar. Fernando Von Arb
Fernando von Arb or simply FVA (born 17 January 1953) is a Swiss guitarist, songwriter and producer. He is best known for being a guitarist of the Swiss hard rock band Krokus. Career In the early 1970s, Von Arb was playing in the band Montezuma when he was recruited by Chris von Rohr and Tommy Kiefer to join their band, Krokus. He joined the group in time for their second album, '' To You All'' as the rhythm guitarist.
