''Foxing'' is the fifth studio album by American rock band Foxing. It was released on September 13, 2024 via Grand Paradise. Production was handled by member Eric Hudson with additional producer Ian Jones. Music videos were directed for "Greyhound" and "Hell 99" by the band themselves. Critical reception ''Foxing'' was met with generally favourable reviews from music critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream publications, the album received an average score of 88 based on five reviews. Sputnikmusic staff reviewer praised the album, saying "Foxing may be a cacophonous, unhinged symphony of chaos, but it's also one that quietly encourages us to look at what's already around us, open our arms, and embrace it while we still can...to reach out and touch what is real. Foxing is an American indie rock band from St. Louis, Missouri, St. Louis, Missouri. The band has released five studio albums, a live album, an EP and 14 singles. History Foxing began in 2011 following the end of the group Hunter Gatherer, a post-rock band active from 2008 to 2010 that featured Josh Coll, Jon Hellwig and Matthew Piva. The initial lineup of the band shortly expanded to include Conor Murphy, who was then the bassist of the then active emo group Family Might and formerly the vocalist of the indie/post-rock band Torchlight Red. It also included guitarist Ben Helman of the melodic post-punk band Eagle Scout. In late 2011, Helman left the group, and Jim Fitzpatrick of Falsetto Boy and Muscle Brain took his place. During their formation period, the band had briefly considered naming themselves She Hums in Swarms before permanently settling on the name Foxing in October 2011. ''Draw Down the Moon'' is the fourth studio album by American rock band, Foxing. The album was released on August 6, 2021 through Hopeless Records. Recording and production The disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic caused multiple difficulties for Foxing. They had planned to "road test" a handful of songs on ''Draw Down the Moon'' during a May 2020 tour with Bent Knee before the virus brought touring to a halt, and to make up for the lost income usually provided by touring, Murphy and guitarist Eric Hudson both began offering music lessons over Skype. Guitarist Ricky Sampson, meanwhile, left the band in October 2020, citing a desire for stability that the music industry could not provide. Standard Score
In statistics, the standard score or ''z''-score is the number of standard deviations by which the value of a raw score (i.e., an observed value or data point) is above or below the mean value of what is being observed or measured.
