Fourth Erdoğan Cabinet
The Fourth Erdoğan Cabinet was the 66th government of the Republic of Turkey, which was declared on 9 July 2018. It is the first cabinet after Turkey's transition into a presidential republic. It was also the first cabinet that did not require parliamentary approval to be formed, and thus contained a higher number of technocrats than previous Turkish cabinets. Structural changes In this new system, the number of ministries were reduced from 21 to 16. Also, six new cabinet posts have been established, including the office of the Vice President. A statutory decree was issued to merge several ministries, and also to abolish certain organizational and functional laws of some ministries and institutions. The president of Turkey, officially the president of the Republic of Türkiye (), is the head of state and head of government of Turkey. Süleyman Soylu
Süleyman Soylu (; born 21 November 1969) is a Turkish politician. He is a deputy chairman of the Justice and Development Party. He previously served as the Minister of Labour and Social Security from November 2015 to August 2016 and the Minister of the Interior from August 2016 to June 2023. He is a former leader of the Democrat Party (DP). Soylu was appointed as the Interior Minister after the surprise resignation of Efkan Ala, with Soylu commenting that his appointment 'came as a surprise' to him as well. Mehmet Cahit Turhan
Mehmet Cahit Turhan (born 29 April 1960) is a Turkish civil engineer, civil servant and former Minister of Transport and Infrastructure. Mehmet Cahit Turhan was born in Trabzon, northern Turkey on 29 April 1960. In 1981, he graduated from Karadeniz Technical University's Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture with a title Bachelor of Engineering, B.Eng. in Civil Engineering. Later, he earned his Master of Engineering, M.Eng. title at the same university. Turhan started his working life in 1985 as an engineer at the Department of Kapıkule-Edirne Motorway of the General Directorate of Highways (Turkey), Turkish Highways Administration (KGM)'s 17th Division.
