''Four Pieces'' is a deluxe vinyl box set by English synth-pop duo Yazoo, released on 26 October 2018 by Mute Records. Set in hardback book format and pressed on heavyweight black 180g vinyl, the collection includes remastered editions of the band's two studio albums along with remixes and BBC sessions, some of which are previously unreleased. Due to popular demand, the box set has also been confirmed for release on CD. Yazoo (band)
Yazoo (known as Yaz in North America) were an English synth-pop duo from Basildon, Essex, formed in late 1981 by former Depeche Mode member Vince Clarke (keyboards) and Alison Moyet (vocals). The pair released two albums, ''Upstairs at Eric's'' and ''You and Me Both''. Yazoo played a key role in shaping the emerging genre of synth-pop, particularly in the mid-1980s house music scene. The duo split in May 1983, and later reunited for a tour in 2008. Madhouse (band)
Madhouse was an American jazz fusion band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, created by Prince. Two Madhouse albums (and several singles) were officially released, both in 1987. History Prince had considered the idea of an instrumental jazz–funk album ever since he recorded his first tracks with Eric Leeds for his 1985 side-project, The Family. In late 1985–early 1986, he recorded hours of instrumental music with Leeds and other musicians from his band, Sheila E. and musicians from her own band, as well as members from Wendy & Lisa's families. From these sessions, Prince compiled an album called '' The Flesh'', supposed to be released by an eponymous pseudo-band, but the project was abandoned and its concept modified to become Madhouse. David Jensen
David Allan Jensen (born 4 July 1950) is a Canadian-born British radio DJ and television presenter. Born in Victoria, British Columbia, Jensen began as a radio DJ on Radio Luxembourg. Jensen was later a broadcaster for the BBC from 1976 to 1984, as a host on BBC Radio 1 and presenter on the TV music programme ''Top of the Pops'' from 1977 to 1984. Jensen has also hosted and presented for Capital FM and ITV among other stations. John Peel
John Robert Parker Ravenscroft (30 August 1939 – 25 October 2004), better known as John Peel, was an English radio presenter and journalist. He was the longest-serving of the original disc jockeys on BBC Radio 1, broadcasting regularly from 1967 until his death in 2004. Peel was one of the first broadcasters to play psychedelic rock and progressive rock records on British radio. He is widely acknowledged for promoting artists of many genres, including pop, dub reggae, punk rock and post-punk, electronic music and dance music, indie rock, extreme metal and British hip hop.
