Dionisie Fotino
Dionisie Fotino ( el, Dionysios Foteinos, 1769–1821) was a Wallachian historian and high ranking civil servant of Greek origin. Born in Patras, Fotinos (Photeinos, Gr. Φωτεινός ) hailed from the so-called Phanariote families within the Ottoman Empire. He moved to Wallachia in 1804. Mihai Fotino
Mihai Fotino (; 14 September 1930 – 13 January 2014) was a prolific Romanian actor who has appeared in theatre, film, television, and radio, in a career spanning 70 years. Born in Bucharest, he spent his early years in Brașov, where his father, Mișu Fotino, was a stage actor and director, and later graduated from Matei Basarab High School in Bucharest. Fotino made his debut at the age of 6, in 1936, in the play ''Colonial''. From 1952, he became an actor at the in Brașov. He was noticed by the director , who brought him to Bucharest. Starting in 1956, he played for over 50 years at the National Theatre Bucharest. Fotino was awarded the in 1967 and 2004.Decree no. 36 of 7 February 2004 and bestowed the Order of Cultural Merit Medal, text published in Official Gazette no. 172 of 27 February 2004. Mișu Fotino (July 24, 1886–January 4, 1970) was a Romanian stage actor and director. Born in Bucharest, his parents were Matei Fotino, an officer, and his wife Profira, descended from the Crețulescu family. After attending primary and high school in his native city, Fotino studied at the Institute of Dramatic Art, where Constantin I. Nottara was his professor. He made his stage debut while a student, at Târgoviște as an old man in the play ''Telefonul'', with the troupe of Eliza Popescu-Tomulescu and Cuzinschi. For seven years he was an actor at the National Theatre in Craiova. He formed his own troupe, going on a grand tour of Transylvania. He started theatres in Brașov and Sibiu. Foteino ( el, Φωτεινό []) is a village (community) in the municipal unit of Kompoti in the Arta (regional unit), regional unit of Arta, Greece. In 2011 its population was 178. History The old name of the village, Hósiana ( el, Χώσιανα), appears for the first time in 1696, in a historic document in which the villages of Arta asked the Venetian Republic for protection from pirates. In 1899, a new church was built by destroying a small old one, dating to the early 12th century The village was constituted as a separate commune with the 186/10.08.1947 government gazette (ΦΕΚ). Space Tether Missions
A number of space tethers have been deployed in space missions. Tether satellites can be used for various purposes including research into tether propulsion, tidal stabilisation and orbital plasma dynamics. The missions have met with varying degrees of success; a few have been highly successful. Description Tethered satellites are composed of three parts: the base-satellite; tether; and sub-satellite. The base-satellite contains the sub-satellite and tether until deployment. Sometimes the base-satellite is another basic satellite, other times it could be a spacecraft, space station, or the Moon. The tether is what keeps the two satellites connected. The sub-satellite is released from the base assisted by a spring ejection system, centrifugal force or gravity gradient effects.
