Forouzan
Parvin Kheirbakhsh (), better known as Forouzan (; 9 August 1937 – 24 January 2016) was an Iranian actress, producer, and dubbing artist. She started her cinematic career as a voice-over actress. In 1964 she starred in Siamak Yasemi's ''Sāhele Entezār'', but it was '' Ganj-e Qarun'', another film by Yasemi, that made her very famous. She co-starred in this film with Fardin. After ''Ganj-e Qarun'' Fardin and Forouzan made a golden cinematic couple and co-starred in some of the highest-grossing films of the era, known as Persian Films or ''Film Farsi'' (in Persian: ). Persian Film was the popular genre of movies produced in Iran before the Iranian revolution of 1979. Biography Forouzan was born on 9 August 1937 in Bandar-e Anzali, Iran. ''The Cycle'' (, ''Dayereh-ye Mina'', also as ''Dāyere-ye Minā'') is a 1975 Iranian drama film directed and written by Dariush Mehrjui. It is about a young man who is trying to get money to pay for his ailing father's medical treatments and gets sucked into life on the margins of society, exploiting other poor and marginalized people for their blood. ''Ganj-e Qarun'' () is a 1965 Iranian film directed by Siamak Yasemi and starring Mohammad Ali Fardin, Forouzan, Arman, and Taghi Zohouri. Background In Persian folklore, ''Ganj-e Qarun'' (Qarun's Treasure) is a symbol of major wealth. ''Qarun'' is Persian for Korah, the biblical figure who lived contemporary to Moses. Behesht-e Zahra Cemetery
Behesht-e Zahra ( ; ) is the largest cemetery in Iran. Located in the southern part of metropolitan Tehran, it is connected to the city by Tehran Metro Line 1. History In the early 1950s, all the cemeteries in Tehran were supposed to be replaced by several large new ones outside the then precincts of the capital. Behesht-e Zahra was built in late 1960s on the southern side of Tehran towards the direction of the city of Qom and opened on 29 June 1970 by mayor of Tehran, Gholamreza Nikpey. Iraj Ghaderi
Iraj Ghaderi (; 17 April 1934 – 6 May 2012) was an Iranian film director and actor. He briefly studied to become a pharmacist, but soon dropped out. He died in Tehran on 6 May 2012, aged 77. Life Iraj Ghaderi studied in pharmacology but did not finish the program. His artistic career began in 1956 with playing in the film ''Intersection Accidents'' by Samuel Khachikian. He established the film company ''Panorama'' with Moosa Afshar in 1963. He, who is often recognized as one of the major filmmakers of the pre-revolutionary Iranian cinema, continued filmmaking after the revolution with the film ''Taraj'' in 1985. The Iranian Revolution (, ), also known as the 1979 Revolution, or the Islamic Revolution of 1979 (, ) was a series of events that culminated in the overthrow of the Pahlavi dynasty in 1979.
