Formula One
Formula One (also known as Formula 1 or F1) is the highest class of international racing for open-wheel single-seater formula racing cars sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The World Drivers' Championship, which became the FIA Formula One World Championship in 1981, has been one of the premier forms of racing around the world since its inaugural season in 1950. The word ''formula'' in the name refers to the set of rules to which all participants' cars must conform. A Formula One season consists of a series of races, known as ''Grands Prix'', which take place worldwide on both purpose-built circuits and closed public roads. A points system is used at Grands Prix to determine two annual World Championships: one for drivers, the other for constructors. Each driver must hold a valid Super Licence, the highest class of racing licence issued by the FIA. The races must run on tracks graded "1" (formerly "A"), the highest grade-rating issue ... Formula 1000
Formula 1000 (F1000) is an open wheel class of Formula car racing, with professional and amateur series worldwide. Formula 1000 gets its name from the 1000 cc (1.0 L) super-bike engine used to power a single seat, open wheel race car with fully adjustable wings and suspension. Currently, in the United States, F1000 is run in SCCA under the FA ( Formula Atlantic) class (it was previously run as FB class prior to 2020) or under SCCA Pro Racing with the North American Formula 1000 Championship. Formula 1000 cars are priced at $40,000 to $75,000. SCCA rules also allow conversion of an existing Formula car (e.g., FC) to meet F1000 requirements. A converted older Formula 2000 chassis with a used superbike engine ready-to-race can be found for $25,000 to $45,000. A conversion kit for FC cars can be purchased for between $8,000 and $12,000. HotelF1 (stylised hotelF1; formerly Formule 1) is a French economy hotel brand owned by Accor. Created by Accor in 1984 in France under the name Formule 1, it was renamed HotelF1 in 2007 and later revamped as a road trip-themed hotel brand. HotelF1 manages 172 hotels in France (2018). The Formule 1 hotels were low-key lodging with the essential collective commodities and no on-site restaurant. Formula One Grand Prix (video Game)
''Formula One Grand Prix'' (known as ''World Circuit'' in the United States) is a racing simulator released in 1991 by MicroProse for the Amiga, Atari ST and PC created by game designer Geoff Crammond. It is often referred to as ''Grand Prix 1'', ''MicroProse Grand Prix'', or just ''F1GP''. Although the game itself was not affiliated officially with the FIA or any Formula One drivers, team liveries and driver helmets were accurate to represent the 1991 season, but the names were fictional. The game is a simulation of Formula One racing at the time and was noted for its 3D graphics, remarkably high framerate (25 fps) and attention to detail, in particular the player's ability to edit the teams and drivers and set up their car to their own personal specifications. The game was ranked the 27th best game of all time by ''Amiga Power''. ''Grand Prix''s success spawned three sequels, called '' Grand Prix 2'', ''Grand Prix 3'' and ''Grand Prix 4''. It is a sequel to the 2004 video game ''Formula One 04'' and was based on the 2005 Formula One World Championship. This game also supports ''EyeToy: Cameo'', allowing players to place their own face on a driver when creating their profile, but unlike ''F1 04'', though they cannot choose their own helmet at the start, the player assumes a white unmarked helmet and only later unlocks other colours and designs. Players start out testing for smaller teams such as Minardi, Jordan and Red Bull Racing. Like in ''F1 04'', a generic car does exist, but it is only used in Time Attack mode. Play ...
