Formosa
Taiwan, officially the Republic of China (ROC), is a country in East Asia. The island of Taiwan, formerly known to Westerners as Formosa, has an area of and makes up 99% of the land under ROC control. Gil Formosa
Gil Formosa is a French cartoonist and an illustrator. Formosa entered the comics world in 1977 at the age of 18, he created four short stories for ''Pilote'' magazine. He also began the heroic fantasy series ''Légendes du Chevalier Cargal'' in this magazine in 1982. The series ran until 1989. Afterwards, Formosa went to work in the advertising and animation field creating the original character design for ''Totally Spies''. He did several commissions for Glénat (two albums of 'Tex Avery'), Marvel Comics (a Conan cover) and Semic Comics (several covers and illustrations) Gil Formosa produced painted covers for a variety of French science fiction, comic book and game American publishers. Joann Formosa
Joann Formosa, (born 19 February 1961) is an Australian Para-equestrian, who won a gold medal at the 2012 London Paralympics. Personal Joann Helen Formosa was born on 19 February 1961, and is from Broadford in central Victoria. She attended university, where she studied art. Formosa has spinal cord and nerve damage, caused by an accident following an attempt to open a gate while she was riding a horse. She can walk with the aid of crutches, though she is not self-sufficient, and requires assistance from nursing staff at Mitchell Community Health Services. She has severe allergies to substances including horse feed and hay. Equestrian Formosa started competing in equestrian in 1980. Before her accident, she competed in dressage and show jumping events. John Formosa
John Formosa (1869–1941) was a Maltese theologian, canonist, minor philosopher, and poet. In philosophy, he mostly specialised in metaphysics. Life Formosa was born in Cospicua, Malta, on March 22, 1869. He studied at the University of Malta and at other universities abroad. These studies made him Doctor of Theology and Doctor of Canon Law. He was ordained a priest in 1893. He was also a Canon of the bishop’s Cathedral Chapter at Mdina. He died on March 29, 1941, at 72 years of age. Luis Manresa Formosa S.J. (April 8, 1915 – December 25, 2010) was a Guatemalan prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. Luis Manresa Formosa was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala in the spring of 1915.
