Forged In Excellence was a professional wrestling event and the inaugural pay-per-view by the revived promotion Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling. The event took place at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario and was streamed live on Triller TV. It featured wrestlers from various promotions around the world such as All Elite Wrestling and its sister promotion Ring of Honor, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, Qatar Pro Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling (MLP) is a Canadian professional wrestling Professional wrestling promotion, promotion owned by Scott D'Amore. MLP is the spiritual successor to Maple Leaf Wrestling, a promotion run by Frank Tunney in Toronto, Ontario, Canada during the 1970s and 1980s. Much like the singles match, tag team professional wrestling matches can and have taken many forms. Just about any singles or melee match type can be adapted to tag teams; for example, hardcore tag team matches are commonplace. In professional wrestling, a pin is a move where a wrestler holds an opponent's shoulders to the mat in an attempt to score a fall. A pinfall is a common victory condition, where the attacker pins an opponent and the referee makes a three count before the opponent gets released from the pin. Background The origin of the pinfall is the pin from amateur wrestling, whereby pinning an opponent to the mat will result in an automatic victory despite any points scored.
