Forever And Ever (Howard Hewett Album)
''Forever and Ever'' is the second solo studio album by American singer-songwriter Howard Hewett. It was released in 1988 via Elektra Records. Recording sessions for this ten-track album took place at fourteen various recording studios in California. Production was primarily handled by Hewett, along with Monty Seward, Vincent Brantley, George Duke, Tom Keane, Jerry Knight and Aaron Zigman. The album peaked at number 110 on the us ''Billboard'' 200 album chart and at number 30 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It was supported by three hit singles: "Strange Relationship", "Once, Twice, Three Times" and "Forever and Ever". "Strange Relationship" and "Once, Twice, Three Times" made it to the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, reaching nunber 9 and number 15 respectively. Howard Hewett
Howard Hewett Jr. (born October 1, 1955) is an American singer–songwriter. Hewett rose to fame as the lead vocalist of the group Shalamar. In 1985, he left the group to pursue his solo career, but he later returned to the group in 2001. He signed with Elektra Records. In 1986, he released his debut solo album ''I Commit to Love''. Hewett and his group Shalamar contributed material to the '' Beverly Hills Cop'' soundtrack. The soundtrack won a Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media in 1986. Hi-hat
A hi-hat (hihat, high-hat, etc.) is a combination of two cymbals and a pedal, all mounted on a metal stand. It is a part of the standard drum kit used by drummers in many styles of music including rock, pop, jazz, and blues. Hi-hats consist of a matching pair of small to medium-sized cymbals mounted on a stand, with the two cymbals facing each other. The bottom cymbal is fixed and the top is mounted on a rod which moves the top cymbal toward the bottom one when the pedal is depressed (a hi-hat that is in this position is said to be "closed" or "closed hi-hats"). The hi-hat evolved from a "sock cymbal", a pair of similar cymbals mounted at ground level on a hinged, spring-loaded foot apparatus.
