Forbi Nchinda
Forbi Simon Nchinda (born 1947) is a Cameroonian politician and member of the parliament representing Bamenda and Bali Constituency. In 2018, he ran for the presidential nomination of Social Democratic Front (SDf) and polled 134 votes but lost to Joshua Osih who won 1021 of the delegate votes in the party's primary held on 24 February 2018. Nchinda was an assistant professor at the National School of Engineering of Yaounde before going into full-time politics. The Social Democratic Front () is the main opposition party of Cameroon. It was led by Ni John Fru Ndi from its foundation until his death in 2023, and receives significant support from the Anglophone Southwest and Northwest Regions. Joshua Osih (born ''Joshua Nambangi Osih''; 9 December 1968) is a Cameroonian politician. He was the vice president of the main opposition party in Cameroon, the Social Democratic Front (Cameroon) (SDF), and the first Anglophone Cameroonian to serve as a Parliamentarian in Douala, capital of the Littoral Region (Cameroon) in 2013. Southern Cameroons National Council
The Southern Cameroons National Council (SCNC) is a political organisation seeking the independence of the former anglophone Southern Cameroons from the predominantly francophone Republic of Cameroon (République du Cameroun) and achieving the unification with neighbouring Nigeria. It is a non-violent organisation with the motto "The force of argument, not the argument of force." Because the SCNC advocates secession from Cameroon, it has been declared an illegal organisation by the government of Paul Biya. Paul Biya (born Paul Barthélemy Biya'a bi Mvondo, 13 February 1933) is a Cameroonian politician who has been serving as the second president of Cameroon since 1982. Ambazonia
Ambazonia, alternatively the Federal Republic of Ambazonia or the State of Ambazonia, is a political entity proclaimed by Anglophone separatists seeking independence from Cameroon. The separatists claim that Ambazonia should consist of the Northwest Region and Southwest Region of Cameroon. Since 2017, Ambazonian rebels have engaged in armed conflict with the Cameroonian military, in what is known as the Anglophone Crisis, and have attempted to set up governments-in-exile, and supportive militias have exerted control over parts of the claimed territory.
