Footbridge Network In Tsuen Wan
The Tsuen Wan pedestrian bridge network () is located in the New Territories of Hong Kong and is the longest continuous Footbridge, pedestrian bridge network system in Hong Kong. After Tsuen Wan New Town, Tsuen Wan was gazetted as a New towns of Hong Kong, satellite town in 1961, the first proposal to build footbridges in Tsuen Wan appeared in a special report in the ''Overseas Chinese Daily News'' on 29 October 1962, which discussed the need to build footbridges in satellite towns. The first footbridge in Tsuen Wan was completed in 1979. In the early stages of development, Tsuen Wan's pedestrian bridge network was divided into a northern section centred on Tsuen Wan station, Tsuen Wan MTR Station and a southern section centred on Tsuen Wan Pier (later known as Kowloon–Canton Railway, KCR Tsuen Wan West Station). The New Territories (N.T., Traditional Chinese characters, Chinese: ) is one of the three areas of Hong Kong, alongside Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. Castle Peak Road
Castle Peak Road ( Chinese: 青山公路) is the longest road in Hong Kong. Completed in 1920, it has the approximate shape of an arc of a semi-circle. It runs west from Tai Po Road in Sham Shui Po, New Kowloon, to Tuen Mun, then north to Yuen Long and east to Sheung Shui, in the very north of the New Territories; it is divided into 22 sections. Name The road was named after Castle Peak, a mountain in the western New Territories; the area to the east of the peak was hence named Castle Peak and later given its old name of Tuen Mun. Tsuen Wan Line
The Tsuen Wan line () is one of the ten lines of the rapid transit, metro network in Hong Kong's MTR. It is indicated in on the MTR map. There are 16 stations on the line. The southern terminus is Central station (MTR), Central station on Hong Kong Island and the northwestern terminus is Tsuen Wan station in the New Territories. Texaco Road (in Chinese: ) is a road in Tsuen Wan, New Territories, Hong Kong. It connects the Tsuen Kam Interchange with Ma Tau Pa Road and Wing Shun Street, intersecting with both the and Castle Peak Road. Texaco Road, the first internal road in Tsuen Wan, was constructed in the 1930s to facilitate the industrial development of the Texaco, Texaco Fuel Company at Cape Tsing Yi North Coastal Road, Tsing Yi Bay and was later renovated in 1959.
