Football Queensland Premier League 3 – Metro
The Brisbane Premier League was the first tier of senior soccer in Brisbane, Queensland (fourth tier in Queensland and fifth overall in Australia). It was run and administered by Football Queensland Metro. The competition folded and was revamped in 2021 with Football Queensland's takeover of the league structure from Football Brisbane, where they formed the Football Queensland Premier League – Metro. St George-Souths was an Australian football (soccer) club formed in 1950 as the Hellenic Soccer Club by Brisbane's Greek community. It was a powerhouse of Brisbane soccer in the 1960s and 1970s. The club merged in 1982 with Olympic FC and were initially known as Olympic United. History 1950s Hellenic Soccer Club was established in early 1950 by Brisbane's Greek community and first competed in the 1950 season of Brisbane soccer, entering two teams which were placed in Divisions 4 and 5. Its first ever premiership match was in April 1950, a 6–3 loss to the Ipswich club Wattles SC in the opening round of Division 4 matches. Pine Rivers United is an Australian football (soccer) club from Strathpine, a suburb of Pine Rivers, just north of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Townsville Kern United was an association football club in North Queensland, Australia, established in 1979. The club made it to the finals of the Queensland State Soccer League in its second season, and won the title of Queensland champions in 1982. In addition, it won the Ampol Cup twice. Townsville regularly drew crowds of 5,000 to its home games.
