Perlis Football Association (PFA) () is the governing body of Association football, football for the state of Perlis, Malaysia. PFA is responsible for coordinating and developing regional football with the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) as the official governing body of football in Malaysia. History Founded in 1963, the team had a long-standing rivalry with Kedah FA, collectively known as the "Northern Derby (football), derby". Perlis FA home is the 20,000-seat Tuanku Syed Putra Stadium, built in 1995 to replace the Dato' Sheikh Ahmad Stadium. Perlis had their first major success in the 2004 season, when they won the Malaysia Cup. Kangar
Kangar ( Northern Malay: ''Kangaq''; Jawi: كڠار) is the state capital and the largest town in Perlis, Malaysia. It has a population of 48,898 and an area of 2,619.4 ha. It is located next to the Thailand border, in the northernmost point of Peninsular Malaysia. It is situated by the Perlis River. The 2010 AFC Cup was the seventh edition of the AFC Cup, playing between clubs from nations who are members of the Asian Football Confederation. The cup consists of developmental squad from clubs competing in the top and second division of Malaysian football league system, the Malaysia Super League and the Malaysia Premier League. Perlis, ( Northern Malay: ''Peghelih''), also known by its honorific title Perlis Indera Kayangan, is the smallest state in Malaysia by area and population.
