Alison Folland (born August 10, 1978) is an American actress and filmmaker. Folland was born in Boston to a travel agent mother and a cardiologist father. She grew up in Wellesley, and attended high school at Buckingham Browne & Nichols, a private school in Cambridge. Gerald Folland
Gerald Budge Folland is an American mathematician and a professor of mathematics at the University of Washington. He is the author of several textbooks on mathematical analysis. His areas of interest include harmonic analysis (on both Euclidean space and Lie groups), differential equations, and mathematical physics. Henry Folland
Henry Philip Folland OBE (22 January 1889 – 5 September 1954) was an English aviation engineer and aircraft designer. Early years Folland was born on 22 January 1889 to Frederick and Mary Folland at 2 King Street, Holy Trinity, Cambridge.1891 Cambridge Census RG12/1287, Folio 64, p. 5. His father was listed as a Stonemason. Aviation career In 1905, Folland became an apprentice at the Lanchester Motor Company in Birmingham, he then joined the design staff at Swift Motor Company and then in 1908 he became a draughtsman at the Daimler Company. It was at Daimler that he developed his interest in powered flying machines. Folland worked at the Royal Aircraft Factory at Farnborough from 1912,''Flight'' 10 September 1954, p. 395. where he was lead designer on the S.E.4 and later S.E.5. Leah Norah Folland
Mrs Leah Norah Folland JP CBE (1874 – 12 March 1957), was a Welsh educationalist, philanthropist and Liberal Party (UK), Liberal Party politician. Background Folland was born Leah Norah Thomas (sometimes known as Lilly), at Pontypool, the daughter of Reverend John Thomas, the Baptist minister at Penclawdd. In 1906 she married Henry Folland, a tin plate manufacturer. They had one son, Dudley Croft Folland and one daughter, Patti Eugenie Folland. Professional career Folland worked as a teacher at Crwys School at Three Crosses, Swansea and then at Gorseinon School. She was a Justice of the Peace. She was a member of the Council of the University College of Swansea. Political career Folland was Liberal candidate for the Gower (UK Parliament constituency), Gower division at the 1923 General Election. She came second, polling 40.9%.
