Foel Goch (Arenigs)
Foel Goch is a mountain in north-east Wales, and forms part of the Arenig mountain range. It is the only member of the Arenig group that lies outside of the Snowdonia National Park.Nuttall, John & Anne (1999). The Mountains of England & Wales - Volume 1: Wales (2nd edition ed.). Milnthorpe, Cumbria: Cicerone. . The summit is grassy and is marked by a trig point, cairn and a boundary stone. Glacial erratics litter its slopes, with a large one located in Cwm Da. To the west is Carnedd y Filiast (Cerrigydrudion), Carnedd y Filiast and Arenig Fach, while to the south west is Arenig Fawr and Mynydd Nodol. Foel Goch (Hirnant)
Foel Goch is a subsidiary summit of Esgeiriau Gwynion, and is included in a group of hills known as the Hirnantau. These hills rise from the south east shores of Bala Lake. The summit is boggy and marked by a few stones. The views are good, with the retrospect of Foel y Geifr and Trum y Gwragedd Trum y Gwragedd is a top of Foel y Geifr in the Hirnantau.
