Fløtatinden
Fløtatinden (also called ''Trondskjortetinden'') is a mountain in the municipality of Molde in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The summit is a popular ski destination, accessed from the east. The mountain is located on the eastern shore of the lake Eikesdalsvatnet, and it has a view towards the Mardalsfossen waterfall in the south and the mountain Skjorta in the north. The village of Eresfjord lies about to the northwest along the Eira River. Eikesdalsvatnet
Eikesdalsvatnet is a lake in Molde Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The lake is long and narrow, roughly in length, and it is the largest lake in Møre og Romsdal county. The village of Eikesdalen is located at the southern end of the lake. Mardalsfossen
Mardalsfossen is a waterfall in Molde Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is sometimes referred to as one of the tallest waterfalls in Europe. The falls are on the Mardøla river which flows out of a hanging valley into the lake Eikesdalsvatnet, about northwest of the village of Eikesdalen. The waterfall was depicted in the coat of arms of the old Nesset Municipality. The total fall is according to SSB, according to World Waterfall Database (WWD). WWD reports that the SSB typically includes the head measurement for waterfalls that are situated within a hydroelectric system, resulting in a greater height estimate. Eresfjord
Eresfjord is a village in Molde Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. Approximately 450 inhabitants reside in the village (2008). The village is located along the river Eira between the Eresfjorden and the lake Eikesdalsvatnet. The mountain Skjorta lies just to the east of the village. The village of Myklebostad lies about to the northwest through the Vistdal valley and the village of Boggestranda lies about to the north. The village was the administrative center of the former municipality of Eresfjord og Vistdal from 1890 until 1964 when it was merged back into Nesset. Sira Church which was opened in 1869, is the main church for the area, and it is located in the middle of Eresfjord. Agriculture, salmon fishing, and tourism are the main form of income in the area. Eira River
Eira is a river in Molde Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The long river flows from the lake Eikesdalsvatnet past the village of Eresfjord and into the Eresfjorden. The mountain Skjorta lies east of the river. Historically, the river was a bountiful salmon fishing area, but since it has become a regulated river for nearby hydro-electric power stations, the fish have not been as plentiful.
