Nikolai Litus
Nikolai Gnatovich Litus (Ukrainian: Літус Микола Гнатович; 15 January 1925 – 21 February 2022) was a Ukrainian film director. He was a Merited Artist of Ukraine. Life and career Born in Tsybuliv, a village in the Uman Raion district, after graduating from the Leningrad Infantry School he fought in the Eastern Front of World War II. After the war he graduated in history at the Kirov Pedagogical Institute (today Vyatka State University), and later studied directing at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography and worked as an assistant of Alexander Zarkhi. The feature film debut he co-directed with Shamsi Kiamov, ''Moi Drug Navrusov'' ("My Friend Navrusov") was censored and never screened because of its criticism of Soviet bureaucracy. He later directed documentaries and some popular films for Dovzhenko Film Studios, notably the 1963 comedy ''Queen of the Gas Station''. Nikolay Vladimiriovich Olyalin (russian: Николай Владимирович Олялин; 22 May 1941 - 17 November 2009) was a Soviet- Ukrainian actor of Russian ethnicity. Biography Early life As a child, Olyalin took drama classes at school. On 1959, When his father sent him to a military academy in Leningrad, hoping that he would become an army topographer, Olyalin chose to study in the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography instead. After graduating at 1964, he joined the Krasnoyarsk Children's Theater, where - in spite of having tense relations with the director - he was considered the best comical actor among the cast. There, he met his wife, Nella, who was the second secretary of the local Komsomol. Olyalin made his debut on screen depicting a test pilot in the 1965 film ''Days of Flight''. Yuriy Kuzmenkov
Yuriy Alexandrovich Kuzmenkov (russian: Ю́рий Алекса́ндрович Кузьменко́в; 16 February 1941 – 11 September 2011) was a Soviet-Russian screen and stage actor. He was known for portraying working class and military people. He was awarded the Honored Artist of Russia (1980). Early life Kuzmenkov was born and grew up in Moscow. He came from a working-class family. His father was a metal worker and his mother was a hairdresser. Upon graduating high school, Kuzmenkov went to trade school to become a metal lathe operator. He got work in a factory but found that he enjoyed acting and took part in amateur performances at his workplace. Vera Valentinovna Alentova (russian: Ве́ра Валенти́новна Але́нтова; born 21 February 1942) is a Soviet and Russian actress famous for her leading role in ''Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears''. Biography Vera Alentova was born on 21 February 1942 in the town of Kotlas in the Arkhangelsk Oblast, in the family of actors Valentin Mikhailovich Bykov and Irina Nikolaevna Alentova. She was named in honor of her maternal grandmother, who died at the age of twenty-eight. The actress's grandfather graduated from Tomsk State University and worked as a doctor, her grandmother graduated from Bestuzhev's courses. Vera's father died when she was four years old, after which her mother took her to Ukraine.
