Fly Eye Records
Fly Eye Records was a record label founded by Calvin Harris in 2010. The label was first launched in May 2010 with the single "Gecko" from Mr Blink, a DJ who served as Harris' opening act. In 2014, the label formed a partnership with Sony/ATV Music Publishing. Most of the label's releases belong to the Electronic dance music, EDM genre. The label closed in 2016. History In 2010, Harris decided to create his own vanity label and named it "Fly Eye Records" after his signature fly-eye sunglasses that he handcrafted himself, which feature on the cover of his 2009 album, ''Ready for the Weekend (album), Ready for the Weekend''. The original purpose from the label was to scout other artists that they admire without the contract restrictions of a major label. When Harris established Fly Eye Records he said stating, "My goal for Fly Eye Records is to release the most exciting club music I can get my hands on." Hard Rock Sofa is a Russian electronic dance music duo formed in Smolensk in 2005. Composed of Alexander Shapovalov and Denis Chepikov, they were signed by popular EDM labels like Axwell's Axtone Records and Steve Angello's Size Records. Prior to 2012, they collaborated closely with another Russian EDM trio, Swanky Tunes. Their career was suspended in December 2014, when shortly later Alexander Shapovalov started a solo career under the stage name Shapov. Career Hard Rock Sofa formed as a trio in 2005 between Alexander Shapovalov, Denis Chepikov, and Sergey Zuev (the latter left the band in late 2012). Twoloud, formerly stylized as twoloud, now stylized as TWOLOUD, is the name of a German DJ musical project consisting of members Manuel Reuter (also known as Manian), Alexander Thomas (Alex Castle) along with Dennis Nicholls (aka D-Style). The project was founded in 2013 and are active mainly in the genres of progressive house and big room house. Although the project's anonymity has been revealed in mid-2014, the musicians were asking to be judged only by their music, not faces. The style of TWOLOUD is unique, with the lead sound of the song "Greatest DJ", for example, being strongly linked to that of duo Showtek. Tommie Sunshine (born Thomas Lorello; March 26, 1971) is a record producer, remixer, DJ and songwriter of electronic music from Chicago currently living in Brooklyn, New York. He is known for creating dance remixes to popular rock and alternative songs. Biography Early life Lorello grew up in Naperville, Illinois. Frank Thomas Knebel-Janssen (born August 9, 1981), better known by his stage name Thomas Gold, is a German DJ and producer. Mightyfools
Mightyfools were a Dutch DJ, rapper and production duo formed in 2008, comprising Jelle Keizer and Andy Samin. The duo had three successful productions in 2013: "Footrocker", "Put Em Up" and "Go", respectively released through Revealed Recordings, DOORN Records and Wall Recordings. The project was discontinued in 2018, shortly after Andy Samin left the project in the winter of 2017 due to problems connected with depression. After the retirement, Keizer was appointed the A&R of Barong Family. Keizer has continued his career as DJ and house producer under his own name since June 2018.
