Fly By
"Fly By II" is a song by English boy band Blue (English group), Blue. It was released on 18 March 2002 as the fourth single from their debut studio album, ''All Rise (Blue album), All Rise'' (2001). The release includes the band's first non-album exclusive, "Love R.I.P". "Fly By II" is a remixed version of the ''All Rise'' album track "Fly By", which samples the song "Rise (instrumental), Rise" by Herb Alpert, while the remix samples from the Notorious B.I.G.'s "Hypnotize (The Notorious B.I.G. song), Hypnotize". The remix reached number six on the UK Singles Chart. Music video The video for "Fly by II" features Blue (English group), Blue in a 2001 BMW_X5_(E53)#4.6is_and_4.8is, BMW X5 (E53) 4.4i, driving to an underground hangout, where the patrons partake in breakdancing, dominoes and rapping, rap rap battle, battling. Blue are an English boy band consisting of members Simon Webbe, Duncan James, Antony Costa, and Lee Ryan. The group formed in 2000 and released three studio albums before announcing a hiatus in late 2004. In January 2011, the group reformed and represented their country at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf with the song "I Can (Blue song), I Can", coming in 11th place with 100 points. In 2013, it was confirmed that the group would be joining ''The Big Reunion'', in which six groups from the past (including Liberty X, Atomic Kitten and five (group), 5ive) reform for a one-off gig. On 27 March 2013, the group announced they would embark on their first headlining tour later on in the year, their first tour in nearly ten years. Battle rap (also known as rap battling)Edwards, Paul, 2009, p. 25. is a type of rapping performed between two or more performers that incorporates boasts, insults, wordplay and disses originating in the African-American community. Battle rap is often performed spontaneously, or freestyled, in live battles known as rap battles, where participants will compete on the same stage to see who has the better verses. Battle rap was loosely described by 40 Cal, previously a member of American hip hop collective the Diplomats, in the book ''How to Rap'' (2009) as an "extracurricular" display of skill, comparing it to the dunk contest in the NBA. Battle rap has been developed into highly organized league events drawing in significant revenue and attention.
