He served as the Secretary of the Wisconsin Territory from 1843 to 1846, and served in the West Virginia House of Delegates from 1872 to 1873. George Floyd Jr. (born December 21, 1960) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive back for two seasons with the New York Jets in the National Football League. Growing up in Brooksville, Florida, Floyd attended Hernando High School, where he was selected for ''The Tampa Tribune'' all-area football team in all three of his varsity years.
