Florian Fromlowitz
Florian Fromlowitz (born 2 July 1986) is a German former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He is also a former Germany U21 international. Club career 1. FC Kaiserslautern Fromlowitz advanced through the youth ranks of 1. FC Kaiserslautern, signing his first professional contract with the club in the summer of 2004. He made his Bundesliga debut on 25 February 2006 against 1. FSV Mainz 05, coming on as a substitute for the injured Jürgen Macho, and kept his place between the sticks for the remainder of the season, at the end of which the club were relegated. He was again replaced by Macho for the 2006–07 season, in which he did not make any appearances in the 2. Bundesliga. Jürgen Macho (born 24 August 1977) is an Austrian football coach and former goalkeeper who is goalkeeper coach of Rapid Wien. During his playing career, he kept goal at several clubs across Austria, England, Germany and Greece. Club career Macho started his first-team career with Wiener Sport-Club in 1996, and moved after one season to First Vienna FC, where he spent three seasons before leaving for Premier League club Sunderland in 2000. At Sunderland, Macho spent three seasons as the second-choice keeper, behind Danish international Thomas Sørensen, and managed a total of 22 league appearances. He then transferred to Chelsea for the 2003–04 season, but was mostly fourth-choice there. 2009 UEFA Under-21 Championship
The 2009 UEFA European Under-21 Championship began on 15 June 2009, and was the 17th UEFA European Under-21 Championship. This was the first tournament after the competition reverted to a two-year format, following the single-year 2006–07 competition, which allowed the change to odd-numbered years. Sweden hosted the final tournament in June 2009; therefore, their under-21 team qualified automatically. Players born on or after 1 January 1986 were eligible to play in this competition. Qualification The qualifying draw split the nations onto 10 groups of 5 or 6 teams. The seeding pots are formed on the basis of former performance in the tournament.
