Florence Civic Center
The Florence Center is a 10,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Florence, South Carolina. The arena was known as the Florence Civic Center until it rebranded in November 2017. It hosted the infamous eighth WWE In Your House pay-per-view in 1996, during which a storm knocked out the power and thus the broadcast signal during the event. The card was re-telecast two nights later from North Charleston, South Carolina, at the North Charleston Coliseum. Since 2005 it is home to the annual Darlington Car Hauler Parade that kicks off Goodyear 400 race week at Darlington Raceway. Starting in the 2025-26 season, it will host the Pee Dee Ice Cats, a new franchise in the Federal Prospects Hockey League. Carolina Havoc
The Carolina Havoc were a professional indoor football team based out of Florence, South Carolina, as members of the American Arena League. In the 2018 season, the team was known as the Atlanta Havoc. History The franchise announced themselves as the Atlanta Havoc, an expansion team who were charter members of the new American Arena League (AAL) on September 10, 2017. The team was added to the AAL on September 22 where it was revealed the owner was Tim Viens, who already owned the Vermont Bucks in the AAL until he sold that team in December 2017. The team also announced that they would play their inaugural 2018 season out of the Buford Arena, a local arena used by Buford High School, in Buford, Georgia. Darlington Raceway
Darlington Raceway is a egg-shaped oval track in Darlington, South Carolina. The track has hosted a variety of racing events since its inaugural season of racing in 1950; primarily races sanctioned by NASCAR. The venue has a capacity of 47,000 as of 2021. Darlington Raceway is owned by NASCAR and led by track president Josh Harris. Darlington Raceway opened in 1950 under Darlington native Harold Brasington, who sought to replicate the success of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Indianapolis 500 in his hometown. Brasington quickly cut all ties with the facility, with Bob Colvin taking over control of the venue as president of the track. Under Colvin's tenure, the speedway underwent major expansion.
