Flora Camouflage
Flora (Russian language, Russian: Флора, sometimes erroneously called VSR-98, which stands for ''Vooruzhennyye sily Rossii'' or Russian Armed Forces 1998.) is a military camouflage pattern formerly used by the Russian Armed Forces. The pattern has some design similarities with the Dubok (camouflage), Butan and Tiger stripe camouflage, Tiger stripe camo. History Flora came as a replacement for the "Barvikha" camouflage - the name of the Research and development, R&D program. The pattern did not have an official name, so popular nicknames like "vertikalka" (Vertical (other), vertical), berezka (birch), VSR-93 and so on appeared. Flora was adopted into the Russian Armed Forces, Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in 1998. The war in Donbas, or the Donbas war, was a phase of the Russo-Ukrainian War in the eastern Donbas region of Ukraine. The war began in April 2014, when Russian paramilitaries seized several towns. Ukraine's military launched an operation against them, but failed to fully retake the territory. Covertly, Russia's military were directly involved, and the separatists were largely under Russian control. The war continued until subsumed by the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. A birch is a thin-leaved deciduous hardwood tree of the genus ''Betula'' (), in the family Betulaceae, which also includes alders, hazels, and hornbeams. Tiger Stripe Camouflage
Tiger stripe is the name of a group of camouflage patterns developed for close-range use in dense jungle during jungle warfare by the South Vietnamese Armed Forces and adopted in late 1962 to early 1963 by US Special Forces during the Vietnam War. During and after the Vietnam War, the pattern was adopted by several other Asian countries. It derives its name from its resemblance to a tiger's stripes. It features narrow stripes that look like brush-strokes of green and brown, and broader brush-strokes of black printed over a lighter shade of olive or khaki.
