''Fleurs 3'', graphically rendered as ''Flεurs³'', is a studio album by Italian singer-songwriter Franco Battiato, released by Sony Music in 2002. It is the second chapter in the ''Fleurs'' trilogy of cover albums, between '' Fleurs'' and ''Fleurs 2''. Production As with the previous chapters, the album consists of cover versions of songs, mostly from the 1960s and early 1970s. It also include a new song, "Come un sigillo", a duet with Alice. Starting from January 2002, Battiato anticipated in his concerts several songs of the album. The album was recorded at Industria Musica studios in Milan. All the tracks were arranged by Battiato. Cover art was cured by Francesco Messina. Alan Sorrenti (born 9 December 1950) is an Italian singer and composer. Biography Sorrenti was born in Naples, but his mother was Welsh, and he spent much of his childhood in Aberystwyth, Wales. As a result, he is fluent in both Italian and English and has sung in both languages throughout his career. Sorrenti's career began in the early 1970s; he released his first album, ''Aria'', in 1972, followed by ''Come un vecchio incensiere all'alba di un villaggio deserto'' in 1973, both consisting mostly of progressive rock and experimental tracks. Gino Paoli (; born 23 September 1934) is an Italian singer-songwriter. He is a seminal figure who has written a number of songs widely regarded as classics in Italian popular music, including: "Il cielo in una stanza (song), Il cielo in una stanza", "Che cosa c'è", "Senza fine", "Quattro amici al bar" and "Sapore di sale". Paolo Conte (; born 6 January 1937) is an Italian singer, pianist, songwriter and lawyer, known for his distinctly grainy, resonant voice. His compositions fuse Italian and Mediterranean sounds with jazz, boogie and elements of the French and Latin-American rhythms. Career Conte was born in Asti, Piedmont. His parents were avid jazz fans and Conte and his younger brother Giorgio spent their formative years listening to a lot of early jazz and blues recordings. Background According to Lauzi, the song was composed in a few minutes, while he was waiting for a friend who had just gone out to buy cigarettes.
