Flaçà
Flaçà () is a town in the Gironès county of Girona Province, Catalonia, Spain. It occupies an area of 6.67 square kilometers and extends the hills of the Lloreda Valley and alluvial plain of the Ter river. It borders the Ter River to the north and the municipality of Sant Jordi Desvalls to the west with the municipalities of Sant Joan de Mollet Sant Marti Vell to the south and to east, the towns of Foixà and la Pera. The current population is 1,070 people. Flaçà is served by , on the Barcelona–Cerbère railway. The Palamós to Flaçà, Girona and Banyoles Railway was a gauge railway line that operated over of track between Palamós, Girona and Banyoles, in the province of Girona, Catalonia, Spain. Catalonia is (as of 2018) divided into 947 Municipalities of Spain, municipalities. Palamós () is a town and municipality in the Mediterranean Costa Brava, located in the ''comarca'' of Baix Empordà, in the province of Girona, Catalonia, Spain. Foixà () is a village and municipality in the comarca (county) of the Baix Empordà. Geography The rural village of Foixà stretches from the right bank to the lower basin of the Ter (river). It is divided into two main sections: la Vila (the village), which surrounds the old 13th century Castle of Foixà atop a hill, and L'Església (the church), near the parish church, of a less dense population. The stream Foixà provides water to the village and empties into the Daró after Fontanilles, passing Ultramort and the Daró Mountains. Ter River
The Ter () is a river in Catalonia, Spain. It rises in the Ulldeter, a glacial cirque in the East Pyrenees, at an approximate elevation of . At heights of around , the nearby peaks bordering the Ulldeter—the Bastiments, the Gra de Fajol, and the Pic de la Dona—supply its headwaters. The river runs through the comarques of Ripollès, Osona, Selva, Gironès, and Baix Empordà, discharging into the Mediterranean Sea at l'Estartit. The Barcelona–Cerbère railway is a railway line linking Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain to Cerbère in France.
