''Flashing Lights'' is the debut studio album by Australian recording artist Havana Brown. It was released on 11 October 2013 by Island Records Australia in Australia and New Zealand. The album was preceded by the singles " Flashing Lights" and "Warrior". The album debuted at number six ARIA Albums Chart and spent five weeks in the top 50. Background Brown has been recording songs since 2011 and released an EP '' When the Lights Go Out'' with singles " We Run the Night", " You'll Be Mine" and "Big Banana" all being released from the EP. Angelique Frances Meunier (born 14 February 1985), known professionally as Havana Brown or DJ Havana Brown, is an Australian DJ, singer, songwriter, record producer and dancer. In 2008, Brown signed with Island Records Australia as a DJ for the record company and began releasing her ''Crave'' compilation album series, which featured remixes of songs from other artists. This led to her touring with international artists, including Britney Spears, Rihanna, the Pussycat Dolls, Chris Brown and Enrique Iglesias. Havana Brown
The Havana Brown was the result of a planned breeding between Siamese cat, Siamese and domestic black cats, by a group of cat fanciers in England, in the 1950s. Early breeders introduced an Oriental Siamese type Russian Blue into their breeding. However, using current genetic testing, it is believed that almost none remain in the gene pool. It has been documented that self-brown cats were shown in Europe in the 1890s, one name given to these was the Swiss Mountain Cat. These disappeared until post–World War II, with the most likely explanation that the Siamese Cat Club of Great Britain, Britain discouraged their breeding. "Big Banana" is a song by Australian DJ and recording artist Havana Brown featuring Dutch DJ R3hab and rapper Prophet. It was released in December 2012 as her fourth single overall, the second from her '' When the Lights Go Out'' EP. The song peaked at number one on the US Hot Dance Club Songs chart, and at number 18 on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart.
