The Flash
The Flash is the name of several superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Harry Lampert, the original Flash first appeared in ''Flash Comics'' #1 (cover date, cover-dated January 1940, released November 1939). Nicknamed "the Scarlet Speedster", all incarnations of the Flash possess "superspeed", which includes the ability to run, move, and think extremely fast, use superhuman reflexes, and seemingly violate certain Physical law, laws of physics. ''Flash'' is a 2007 Indian Malayalam-language psychological crime thriller film, directed by Sibi Malayil and written by S. Bhasurachandran. It was produced and distributed by Tomichan Mulakuppadam. The film stars Mohanlal, Indrajith Sukumaran and Parvathy Thiruvothu. The plot revolves around Dhwani, who has to go through some harrowing experiences, and her big, joint family. ''Flash'' was released on 25 December 2007. Plot Priyan is a software engineer working with Dr. Mithun, a Mumbai-based Information Technology industrialist. Dr. Mithun Madhavan is a psychiatrist in reality. Priyan is in love with his uncle's daughter Dhwani who was brought up in Chennai. Flash (band)
Flash was an English progressive rock group, formed by former Yes guitarist Peter Banks, vocalist Colin Carter, bassist Ray Bennett, and drummer Mike Hough in August 1971. Early career The band went into the recording studio in November 1971 to record its debut album, and performed its first gig on 14 January 1972. Flash had a hit with "Small Beginnings" (1972, No. 29 ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart) which was featured in the movie, ''Record Review''. The song has been included in numerous compilation albums, most recently Bob Stroud's ''Rock 'n Roll Roots, Vol. 10''. The band released three albums, '' Flash'' (1972), ''In the Can'' (1972 Nov.) and ''Out of Our Hands'' (1973). Flash were signed with Sovereign, a subsidiary of Capitol Records. Flash (Auckland Newspaper)
''Flash'' was the first genuine community newsletter/newspaper of Auckland City in New Zealand and ran from 1977 to 1982. It was started by Vince Terrini, an architect, Auckland University School of Architecture lecturer, and creator of the Cheer Up Party, who was elected Chairman of the Westmere, Grey Lynn Community Committee in 1977. It was used to inform the local community on what was happening in the area. It ran for 31 issues from November 1977 to February 1982. Its circulation areas were essentially run-down working class suburbs, with some middle class housing in western Westmere. Flash's main preoccupation was addressing the unbalanced representation on the Auckland City Council, which was perceived by Westmere and Grey Lynn residents to be dominated by wealthy Remuera-based councillors.
