Flamurtari FC Managers
Flamurtari Football Club is an Albanian professional Football team, football club based in Vlorë, Albania. The club plays in the Kategoria Superiore, which is the first tier of football in the country. Founded in 1923, the club is one of the oldest in Albania, also being one of its most successful clubs, having won one Albanian Superliga title in 1991, four Albanian Cups, and two Albanian Supercups. Flamurtari is also known for their European runs in the 1980s, where they famously reached the last sixteen in the 1987–88 UEFA Cup, where they beat Spanish giants FC Barcelona, Barcelona in Vlorë but lost on aggregate. Flamurtari Stadium
Flamurtari Stadium () is a multi-use stadium in Vlorë, Albania. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of KS Flamurtari Vlorë. The stadium has a capacity of 8.200 people. Before the construction of the stadium, Flamurtari Vlorë played their home games on a field known as Varri i Halimit, which translates to Halimi's Tomb. The field was located near Uji i Ftohtë, which is where the club's training ground is located. The stadium was built in 1961 with an initial capacity of 6,500, and was expanded to 11,000 in 1975 following a reconstruction. During the club's golden era the stadium would attract crowds of up to 15,000 spectators and in 1987 when the club faced FC Barcelona in the UEFA Cup there was a crowd of 18,500, making it the ground's record attendance. The 1931 Albanian National Championship was the second edition of the Albanian National Championship, the top professional league for association football clubs. Teams Team locations Overview It was contested by 7 teams. The tournament ran from April 19 to July 5, 1931. SK Tirana won the championship. For the 1931 season the league was divided into two groups, Group A consisted of SK Tirana, Bashkimi Shkodran from Shkodër and Sportklub Vlora from Vlorë. Group B consisted of Teuta from Durrës, Skënderbeu from Korçë, SK Elbasani and SK Muzaka from Berat. Urani changed their name to SK Elbasani for this season. Futboll Klub Tomori Berat is an Albanian football club based in the city of Berat. The club's home ground is the Tomori Stadium and they currently participate in the Kategoria e Dytë. History The sport of football was introduced to the city of Berat in the early 1910s by students who had completed their studies abroad. They brought back footballs and the rules of the game from their travels which they then passed onto the locals. As early as 1913, amateur neighbourhood teams were formed, such as Çunat e Lumit, Vakëfi, Kalaja and Opinga. In 1923, an artists and sports club was founded in Berat, under the name Tomori, named after the nearby Mount Tomorr.
