Flame
A flame (from Latin '' flamma'') is the visible, gaseous part of a fire. It is caused by a highly exothermic chemical reaction taking place in a thin zone. When flames are hot enough to have ionized gaseous components of sufficient density they are then considered plasma. Mechanism Color and temperature of a flame are dependent on the type of fuel involved in the combustion, as, for example, when a lighter is held to a candle. The applied heat causes the fuel molecules in the candle wax to vaporize (if this process happens in inert atmosphere without oxidizer, it is called pyrolysis). In this state they can then readily react with oxygen in the air, which gives off enough heat in the subsequent exothermic reaction to vaporize yet more fuel, thus sustaining a consistent flame. The Flame is a superhero that appeared in American comic books published by Fox Feature Syndicate. The Flame first appeared in ''Wonderworld Comics'' #3 (July 1939) and was created by writer Will Eisner and artist Lou Fine. The Flame became ''Wonderworld's'' primary character. Publication history The Flame's first appearance was in Fox's ''Wonderworld Comics'' #3, dated July 1939, (issues #1 & #2 being titled ''Wonder Comics''). The Flame gained his own title in the summer of 1940; which ran for eight issues until January 1942. "Flame" is the only album recorded by the duo of singer/lyricist Tim Bowness ( No-Man) and keyboard player Richard Barbieri ( Porcupine Tree), released in 1994. The two men met when Tim Bowness and Steven Wilson (also of Porcupine Tree) invited Richard Barbieri (along with Mick Karn and Steve Jansen) to join the live line-up of Bowness and Wilsons's band No-Man. The Flames
The Flames was a musical rock group from Durban in South Africa. They performed across London in the late 1960s, where they met Brian Jones, Keith Moon, Keith Richards, Jerry Garcia, Miles Davis and Carl Wilson. They later traveled to Los Angeles to record an album for The Beach Boys' record label Brother Records, for which they changed their name to The Flame. Flame {stylized as FLAME) was a Japanese boy band formed in 2001 by Vision Factory. On March 1, 2010, they disbanded. Career Flame debuted in 2001 with their single "Mune no Kodō." Prior to debut, all four members had participated in the Junon Super Boy Contest. The group steadily released singles until their first album was released in late 2002 after four singles. A fifth single followed that in March 2003, but it was a different image and sound for the boy band. After their sixth single, "Venus", their releases became sporadic. ''Blazing Dragons'' is an animated television series created by Terry Jones and Gavin Scott, and produced by Nelvana and Ellipse Animation. A coinciding graphic adventure video game was released for the original PlayStation and Sega Saturn in 1996 by Crystal Dynamics. The video game features the voice talents of several celebrities. The series' protagonists are anthropomorphic dragons who are beset by evil humans, reversing a common story convention. The series parodies that of the King Arthur Tales as well as the periods of the Middle Ages. From 1996 to 1998, ''Blazing Dragons'' was produced by Nelvana in Canada and Ellipse Programme in France.
