Flag-Smasher
The Flag-Smasher is the name used by different anti-nationalist supervillains appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics: Karl Morgenthau and Guy Thierrault. The original version was most often a foe of Captain America while other adversaries include the Punisher, Moon Knight, Ghost Rider, the Runaways, the Liberteens and Deadpool. A group called the Flag Smashers appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe / Disney+ series ''The Falcon and the Winter Soldier'' (2021), led by a female version of the Karl Morgenthau incarnation renamed Karli Morgenthau (portrayed by Erin Kellyman). Concept and creation Mark Gruenwald created Flag-Smasher as a character in the tradition of the Red Skull: a villain with a symbolic aspect that would make him a nemesis specifically intended for Captain America. The Falcon And The Winter Soldier
''The Falcon and the Winter Soldier'' is an American television miniseries created by Malcolm Spellman for the streaming service Disney+, based on Marvel Comics featuring the characters Sam Wilson / Falcon and Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier. It is the second television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced by Marvel Studios, sharing continuity with the films of the franchise, and is set six months after Sam Wilson was handed the mantle of Captain America in the film '' Avengers: Endgame'' (2019). Battlestar (character)
Battlestar (Lemar Hoskins) is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Mark Gruenwald and Paul Neary, the character made his first appearance in ''Captain America'' #323 (1986). He became the fifth character to assume the alias Bucky before taking on the name "Battlestar." Clé Bennett portrayed the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe television series ''The Falcon and the Winter Soldier'' (2021). Erin Mae Kellyman (born 17 October 1998) is a British actress. Paul Neary (18 December 1949 – 10 February 2024) was a British comic book artist, writer and editor. His first work was for Warren Publishing in the 1970s before working with Dez Skinn at Marvel UK as well as work for '' 2000 AD''. He later became editor-in-chief of Marvel UK in the 1990s but is now best known for inking Bryan Hitch's work on '' The Ultimates'' for Marvel Comics. (Issue #132), Jeff Grubb reviewed this book and its companion, ''The Encyclopedia of Superheroes'', and found that this book was good, but not as good as the ''Superheroes'' book. Grubb found this book "has a major flaw in organization", where major villains are detailed in the entries of otherwise less notable villains rather than having their own separate entries. Latveria is a fictional country appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. It is depicted within the storylines of Marvel's comic titles as a small, isolated European country ruled by the fictional Supreme Lord Doctor Doom, supposedly located in the Banat region. It is surrounded by the Carpathian Mountains, and also borders fictional Symkaria (home of Silver Sable) to the south. Its capital is Doomstadt.
