Fischtown Pinguins
The Fischtown Pinguins, also known as REV Bremerhaven, are a professional ice hockey team based in Bremerhaven, Germany. From 2004 to 2016 the team played at the second tier of ice hockey in Germany, known as the 2nd Bundesliga until the 2012–13 season and, from the 2013–14 season onward, as the DEL2. On 1 July 2016 the team was granted a DEL licence for the 2016–17 season to replace the Hamburg Freezers The Hamburg Freezers were a professional men's ice hockey club from Hamburg, Germany that played in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. Bremerhaven
Bremerhaven (; ) is a city on the east bank of the Weser estuary in northern Germany. It forms an exclave of the Bremen (state), city-state of Bremen. The Geeste (river), River Geeste flows through the city before emptying into the Weser. Bremerhaven was founded in 1827 as a seaport for Bremen, and it remains one of the busiest ports in the country. 2023–24 DEL Season
The 2023–24 Deutsche Eishockey Liga season was the 30th season since the founding of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. It started on 14 September 2023 and ended on 26 April 2024. EHC Red Bull München were the defending champions. Eisbären Berlin won their tenth title after a finals win in five games over the Fischtown Pinguins. Format The teams played a quadruple round-robin for 52 games each, playing every other team four times. After the regular season, places one to six were qualified for the playoffs, while place seven to ten played in the pre-playoffs. The playoffs were played in a best of seven mode. Bad Tölz (; Bavarian: ''Däiz'') is a town in Bavaria, Germany and the administrative center of the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district. History Archaeology has shown continuous occupation of the site of Bad Tölz since the retreat of the glaciers at the end of the Ice Age. 2020–21 DEL Season
The 2020–21 Deutsche Eishockey Liga season was the 27th season since the founding of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the league announced 13 November 2020 as the start date, which was later postponed to a later date. On 19 November 2020, the DEL announced that the season would start on 17 December 2020. Eisbären Berlin won their eighth title, after defeating the Grizzlys Wolfsburg in three games. Format The season saw the same 14 teams as last year, as all teams were given a license. Adler Mannheim will be the defending champions from the 2018–19 DEL season as the 2019–20 season was ended after the regular season. The 2021–22 Deutsche Eishockey Liga season was the 28th season since the founding of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. It started on 9 September 2021 and ended on 4 May 2022.
